Being the first dedicated infectious diseases facility in Pakistan, the adult ID department manages all sorts of community acquired illnesses which include bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal infections including challenging cases of HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, diphtheria, XDR typhoid, complicated malaria, dengue, measles, chickenpox, cholera, PUO and Crimean Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF). The department also receives and manages complicated hospital acquired MDR cases.
