About the PhD in Pharmacology
The university offers a full-time PhD program in Pharmacology through the School of Postgraduate Studies and has developed the modular format to allow a greater range of options within the program to meet the requirements of medically trained personnel who wish to enter teaching and research careers in medical and allied health sciences.
The objective of the PhD program is to form the next generation of scientists in pharmacological and biomedical sciences. PhD students will be involved in cutting-edge scientific research and will develop critical thinking as well as communication and problem-solving skills.
The doctoral program in Pharmacology would provide the graduates with a solid foundation in biomedical and clinical sciences.
The graduates of the PhD in pharmacology are capable of on the basis of advanced knowledge, professional research skills, attitudes, and values in the field of pharmacology have ability to critically analyze the impact and outcomes of research results. Adopting the scientific thinking approaches in subjects relevant to drug uses in variable organs diseases. Identifying and solving problems in the field of pharmacotherapy and pharmacogenomics. Mastering an adequate range of specialized professional skills and using appropriate technology to improve his/her professional practice. Communicating effectively and having the ability to participate and lead team works.
