MPhil in Biotechnology

Being an interdisciplinary field, MPhil program of Biotechnology at DUHS is well designed and equipped to abridge different disciplines of biological and physical sciences. The program course work is carefully sculpted to equip the MPhil students to not only develop sound understanding of the basic to advance concepts of wide range of disciplines most notably, Genetics and Genomics, Proteomics, Biochemical, Pharmacology, Fermentation Biology, Microbiology, Virology, Immunology, Plant Sciences and Agriculture and Nanotechnology as a constituent part of field Biotechnology but then practically implement them in their research work during the course of dissertation and later in the carrier both in academia and/or industry. The research themes of MPhil in Biotechnology at DUHS are mostly focused on innovations leading to the biotechnological solutions of modern day local and international problems particularly food shortage, livestock and human vaccine development, genetic and molecular dissection of different human and livestock diseases, and drug designing and delivery. In addition, an intrinsic mechanism has been set out to ensure smooth and timely completion of MPhil in Biotechnology at DUHS.
