PHARMACY SERVICES, DOW UNIVERISTY HOSPITAL CELEBRATES WORLD PHARMACIST DAY 2020 WITH THE INAUGRATION OF DRUG AND POISON INFORMATION CENTER.
World Pharmacist day is celebrated globally on 25th September every year. This year Pharmacy Services, Dow University Hospital, Ojha Campus celebrated World Pharmacist Day with the inauguration of Drug & Poison Information Centre. It is one of the unique and first ever facility to be operated in a public sector healthcare organization run by qualified and credentialed pharmacist. Ribbon cutting followed by cake cutting ceremony was done by Prof. Dr. Kartar Dawani (Pro-Vice Chancellor, DUHS), along with Miss Iffat Swamir(COO DUH), Prof. Dr. Zahid Azam(Medical Superintendent DUH), Dr. Aasma Hamid (Manger Pharmacy), Prof. Dr. Sumbul Shamim (Principal Dow College of Pharmacy), Dr. Aziz Jokhio (Head of Emergency Medicines) & Miss Maryam Farrukh (Assistant Manager Supply Chain).This Drug & Poison Information Centre is established under the visionary leadership of Prof. Dr. Saeed Quraishy (Vice Chancellor DUHS) and this will also provide services to all internal and external customers including patients, physicians and general public.
