The Department of Vascular Surgery, DUHS, successfully organized the 1st Vascular Anastomosis Workshop on 15th February 2025 at the Anatomy Dissection Hall, in collaboration with PDC.
The workshop was well-attended by Surgical Residents, Medical Officers, and early-career consultants from various hospitals and specialties. The presence of Dr. Ziyad Sophie, the pioneer of Vascular Surgery in Pakistan, along with esteemed facilitators from leading vascular centers across Sindh and Balochistan (AKUH, SIUT, JPMC, SMBBT, and Aria Hospital Quetta), made the event highly impactful.
Participants expressed gratitude and appreciation for the well-structured sessions, hands-on learning experience, and seamless organization. The facilitators also visited the OT complex and were greatly impressed by the high standards of surgical protocols and management.
The Department of Vascular Surgery remains committed to organizing future educational workshops and extends special thanks to Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jahan Ara and Principal Prof. Dr. Iftikhar for their unwavering support and guidance.
