On Friday, 25th October 2024, the Dermatology Department of Dow International Medical College (DIMC), DUHS, in collaboration with the Pakistan Association of Dermatologists, conducted an impactful academic session on “Superficial Fungal Infections of the Skin.”

This third session in the GP/MO teaching series drew over eighty attendees, aiming to enhance awareness and equip primary health workers to identify and treat various superficial fungal infections for improved patient outcomes and self-development.

Dr. Sadaf Ahmed Asim (HOD, Dermatology, DIMC), Dr. Tayyaba Iqbal (Assistant Professor, Dermatology, DIMC), and Dr. Rabia Ghafoor (HOD, Dermatology, JPMC) presented an interactive and comprehensive lecture series, covering essential diagnostic techniques, clinical pearls, and management strategies. Participants from Sindh and Balochistan responded enthusiastically, providing excellent feedback.

The event was honored by Dr. Saadia Tabassum (HOD, Dermatology, AKU) as Guest of Honour, who shared valuable insights to support general practitioners in recognizing and addressing diverse cases.

With a well-structured format, the CME session aligned with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education).
