Kashmir Black Day 2024 and All-Sindh Bilingual Declamation Competition

On
October 26, 2024, the DUHS Literary and Debating Society marked
Solidarity Day with Kashmir at the Muin Hall, Dow Medical College. The
event, titled Guftaar 3.0, was an All-Sindh Bilingual Declamation
Competition, organized to honor the resilience and struggles of the
Kashmiri people.
The
event commenced with a tribute to the martyrs and resilient people of
Kashmir, enduring hardship. Following this, the competition officially
began, featuring 23 teams
and 46 participants who voiced the spirit of Kashmir with speeches. The
opening ceremony was led by Hamna Mukhtar Tarar, while Bushra Qureshi
from Dow University of Health Sciences delivered a heartfelt closing

participants received certificates, with special prizes for outstanding
debaters and shields for winners. The team trophy was awarded to
Karachi University. Shields were also presented to the esteemed judges.The
event was graced by DUHS-LDS faculty coordinator Dr. Danish Haseen,
Principal of Dow Medical College Dr. Saba Sohail, and Chief Guest Mr.
