The Literary and Debate Society, Institute of Business and Health Management organized an educational visit to Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on 26th November 2024 for the students. The visit enhanced the financial literacy of students and was aligned with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
An interactive speaker session was held by Mr. Fahad Asif, Senior Manager Media at PSX, providing students with a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of PSX. He shared insights into the Pakistan Stock Exchange’s functions, and ecosystem, contributing to SDG 4: Quality Education by promoting financial awareness and critical thinking.
Mr. Fahad emphasized the importance of financial planning, saving, the impact of inflation, stock investments, and the long-term benefits of investing in the equity market, fostering economic empowerment in line with SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth.
Additionally, students were guided on selecting stockbrokers using resources available on the PSX website and exploring its features. The interactive Q&A session throughout the event encouraged active participation, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of financial systems.
