Community Health Initiative by Dow Medical College, Dow University of Health Sciences

The Department of Paediatrics Unit-II and the Department of Neurology from Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK), in collaboration with Dow Medical College (DMC) and Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), organized a one-day free medical camp on 5th December 2024 at SEF Syed Sultan Shah Ashabi School in Rahoo Gohram Goth, a remote area of Gadap Town.

Over 500 patients, including children and adults, were provided free medical consultations and medicines.

The camp was led by:

-Prof. Dr. Amanullah Lail, Head of the Department, Paediatric Unit-II, DMC/CHK

-Assistant Prof. Dr. Wajid Javed, Neurology Department, CHK

-A team of dedicated doctors performed patient checkups and distributed medications, including:

The initiative was highly appreciated by the villagers, who requested similar charitable activities in the future to address healthcare needs in underserved areas.
