On October 19th, Dow Medical College hosted a meaningful event dedicated to raising awareness and support for breast cancer. The day was filled with insightful sessions led by the Breast Surgery Unit, Surgical Unit 3, and the Department of Medical Oncology, providing valuable information about the importance of early detection and treatment options.

Attendees enjoyed a delightful Pinktober Bake Sale. Throughout the event, participants were given pink ribbons and informative leaflets to further promote awareness about breast cancer and its impact. The engaging photo booth created a lively atmosphere, allowing attendees to capture moments of support and encouragement. Additionally, an inspiring poster competition highlighted the creativity and commitment of students to raise awareness about breast cancer.

This event successfully contributed to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and 4 (Quality Education).

The event was organized through a collaborative effort between Dow University of Health Sciences, Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi, the Pink Ribbon Foundation, DMC students, TEFF, and SOCH.
