Dr. Faysal Subhani, Senior Registrar in the Emergency Medicine Department at the Trauma Center of Dow University Hospital, Ojha Campus, represented us at the 3rd KEMU (King Edward Medical University) International Emergency Medicine Conference held in Lahore on November 1st and 2nd, 2024.
Dr. Subhani was invited to speak on two critical topics:
“Growing and Nurturing Your Team in the ED” and “The Airway Kit for the Under-resourced ED”
During his presentation, Dr. Subhani introduced a preliminary version of what he envisions as the National Airway Guidelines, underscoring our commitment to advancing emergency medicine in Pakistan.
This prestigious conference, organized by King Edward Medical University in collaboration with CPSP and the Pakistan Society of Emergency Medicine, featured speakers from around the globe, including experts from the US, UK, Qatar, Australia, and the UAE. With over 50 academic sessions, the event served as a significant platform for knowledge exchange and professional development in emergency medicine.

Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Aysha Abbasi, our Head of Emergency Medicine, and Dr. Mumtaz Ali Baloch, Senior Manager of Emergency Medicine at the Trauma Center, we are committed to building a robust ER department that upholds the reputation of Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) internationally.
This vision aligns with the goals set by our esteemed management, including MS/Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Jahan Ara Hassan and our Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohammed Saeed Quraishy, T.I.
