Urology services at DUH were given a boost in April 2018, with the establishment of dedicated endourological and laparoscopic, well equipped urology theatres. In a very short span of time, and under the guidance and support of the Vice Chancellor DUHS, all kinds of urology services are now being offered at DUHS.

Daily Urology clinics, four executive Urology clinics per week, and five Urology theatres per week. There is a well- equipped air-conditioned ward specifically for urology patients. Thousands of patients get benefit from our services every month in our out-patient department.  Services are also provided to other departments for their in-patients whenever required. Numerous procedures have been performed in collaboration with  genecology, general surgery, vascular surgery and other departments. Thousands of endourological procedures are performed every year, and numbers are increasing.

In recent times, minimally invasive surgeries have become an important component of urology, and large focus is also in this area. In a very short span of time, Dow Hospital has gained a status of one of the best Laparoscopic Urology centers of the city. Now laparoscopic urological surgeries and reconstructive urological procedures are being performed on a regular basis at DUHS. Complex cases like laparoscopic COMPLEX Nephrectomies, adrenalectomy and pyeloplasties have been performed with good results, which makes DUHS Urology services better than any other prestigious institute in the city.
