In March 2017 our university embarked on a groundbreaking journey to bring hope and healing to those suffering from kidney disease. Our Kidney Transplant Program was born, and since then, we’ve transformed the lives of countless individuals and families.
From Humble Beginnings in 2017, our multidisciplinary team of experts, led by Dr. Rashid Bin Hamid and Dr tassaduq Khan together with a shared vision: to provide comprehensive, compassionate care to patients in need of kidney transplantation.

Our mission is to provide the best healthcare without discrimination. Healthcare service delivery should be of highest quality and provided at minimum affordable cost. We are among the few transplant centers in Pakistan that provide unmatch services in live-related renal transplants. We have a fully equipped medical and surgical team available 24/7, serving our patients on a first-priority basis. We are working tirelessly to bring hope to patients suffering from kidney failure.
Our Services
We are facilitating every patient requiring transplants helping through every step ranging from legal requirements, inhouse services to post transplant coordination between patients and doctors. In DUHS we have:
– State of the art operation theaters.
– State of art separate transplant ICU.
– State of art radiology department with ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, interventional radiology 24/7.
– We have 24/7 state of art fully equipped labs where all the necessary investigation of renal transplant are performing under one roof.
– We have also transplant immunology center which is second largest Centre in the whole province of Sindh. following test performed.

Now by the grace of Almighty Allah and with the contribution of our dedicated team we are crossing of 650 successful live-related renal transplants at our unit at the Dow University Hospital, a tremendous goal and yet many more to come.
We observe the ray of hope in the face of the patients undergoing transplants at our facility. Nothing matches the magnitude of pleasure we attain when our patients come out of the operating theater successfully. This feeling gets further amplified when the patient returns home within a few days after the procedure, leaving behind the miseries of kidney failure.
