About Us

Providing standard of care for infectious diseases is the primary mission of this department. The infections acquired in community or in hospitals as well as in special populations with decreased immunity like transplant recipients. cancers, HIV etc. is provided. Currently, the department has two Assistant Professors and one Senior Registrar, who are qualified and especially trained to deal with a variety of infections caused by viruses, bacteria, mycobacteria, protozoa and fungi causing infection of organs (e.g. brain, heart, kidneys, skin, genital tracts etc) are  available to help you. The department is contributing in controlling Antimicrobial Resistance through antimicrobial stewardship programs and  implementing Infection Control practices in available resources.

The physicians are actively involved in training and teaching of doctors, nursing staff and other healthcare workers through lectures,  bedside classes, group discussions, seminars and workshops and e-learning. 

Department has been recognized for the Fellowship program and standardized training will be provided soon.
