A highly successful faculty development workshop titled “Crafting High-Impact Lesson Plans for Undergraduate Education: Key Strategies for Effective Teaching and Learning” was conducted on February 24th at Dow Dental College, DUHS, in collaboration with the Medical Education Department.
The workshop, led by Dr. Faiza Siddiqui (Facilitator), provided valuable insights into effective lesson planning strategies for undergraduate education.
Faculty members actively engaged in discussions and hands-on activities focused on:
– The role of lesson planning in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes
– Key principles of lesson planning, including alignment with course goals and assessments
– Designing lesson plans that encourage active learning and critical thinking
– Evaluating various approaches to accommodate diverse student needs
– Applying Gagne’s Nine Events of Instruction to lesson design
– Integrating technology effectively within lesson plans
