The Department of Community Dentistry of Dow Dental College recently conducted a visit to Raana Liaquat Public School, located in the Raana Liaquat Craftsman Colony, in collaboration with the school administration on 18 January 2025.
This initiative, supervised by Dr. Muhammad Taqi and Dr. Adnan, aimed to promote oral health awareness and provide free oral health services to the school’s teaching and administrative staff.
The primary objective of the visit was to educate school teachers about the significance of oral health and equip them with knowledge to maintain and promote good oral hygiene. Teachers play a pivotal role in shaping the habits of young minds, and empowering them with oral health education can lead to a ripple effect of healthier practices among students and their families.
In addition to the educational sessions, a team of dentists conducted free oral health examinations for all teachers and staff members. This hands-on approach ensured that participants not only gained knowledge but also received personalized care and recommendations for improving their oral health.
Such initiatives underline the commitment of the Community Dentistry Department to fostering healthier communities by targeting key influencers, such as school teachers, who can help spread awareness and encourage preventive oral health practices.
