A highly productive and collaborative meeting took place between the Emergency Medicine Department – Trauma Center at Ojha Campus and the dedicated team from Sindh Infectious Diseases Hospital (SIDH) on Monday, November 4, 2024.
Guided by our esteemed Medical Superintendent and Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Jahan Ara Hassan, the meeting focused on enhancing coordination between both institutions to improve patient care, particularly for those suffering from infectious diseases such as Diphtheria, Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), Measles, HIV/AIDS, COVID-19, Monkeypox, and others.

• Dr. Samreen Zaidi – Assistant Professor & Head of Department, Pediatric Infectious Diseases

The teams discussed ways to enhance inter-hospital communication and workflows to ensure a seamless transfer of care and ongoing patient management between the two institutions.
To further strengthen collaboration, a visit was organized for the ER team to tour key areas of SIDH & RC, including the Pediatrics and Adult Wards, High Dependency Unit (HDU), ICU, OPD, and Triage Area.
Dr. Rajput emphasized that SIDH & RC will continue to operate in alignment with the vision set by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Saeed Quraishy T.I, to deliver high-quality healthcare, effective patient management, and operational efficiency.
