The “Innovations in Respiratory Care” workshop, held by Dow University of Health Sciences on 23rd October 2024 as part of Respiratory Care Week, was a resounding success, bringing together experts, healthcare professionals, and students in the field of respiratory care.
This event emphasized advanced ventilation techniques, diagnostic tools, and the significant impact of climate change on respiratory health. Led by Chairperson Prof. Dr. Sameer Qureshi and Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed and Dr Tariq Farman, the workshop provided a platform for impactful discussions on crucial topics, including the effects of air pollution on respiratory disease, high-flow nasal cannula applications, and the latest advancements in invasive ventilation.
Distinguished speakers such as Dr. Faisal Asad, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal Hydrie, Dr. Urwa Ikhlaq, and Ms. Iqra Abidi delivered insightful presentations, giving participants a practical and theoretical understanding of innovations in respiratory care. The workshop was meticulously organized under the guidance of Course Director Ms. Ruquia Noor, who ensured a seamless experience for all attendees.
Participants gained valuable knowledge about integrating new respiratory care technologies in clinical settings, enhancing patient outcomes, and adapting to environmental health challenges.
