Biochemistry explains how essential elements form key structures such as carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids, which drive cellular metabolism. It reveals the molecular processes that sustain life, including cell aging, death, energy transformation, and signaling mechanisms. This knowledge is crucial for understanding scientific and technological research.
Located at the Gulistan-e-Johar campus of Dow International Dental College, the Biochemistry department is staffed with a qualified faculty, including one Assistant Professor and two Lecturers, under the leadership of the Chairperson. Our Biochemistry laboratory plays a central role in basic science research. It is well-equipped not only to enhance undergraduate education but also to support faculty research efforts, fostering a collaborative and dynamic environment for scientific discovery.
The Biochemistry department employs diverse teaching methods to create a comprehensive and engaging learning experience for students. Spacious, well-equipped lecture halls provide a conducive environment for traditional lectures, while small group discussions enhance student interaction and deepen understanding. Regular assessments and quizzes ensure continuous learning and help track student progress.
Our goal is not only to develop students’ expertise in biochemical concepts but also to cultivate Lifelong learners and researchers capable of driving Pakistan’s scientific and technological Advancement.
