About the Central Animal House Facility
The Central Animal House facility management is executed by various Veterinary Doctors, Technical and Administrative personnel. The facility is well suited to house various Laboratory animal species from rodents to horses; all these animals are maintained and bred at their respective sections within the vicinity of Central Animal Facility. We believe that good animal welfare is a requisite for good science results and necessary for research and discovery. So, it is our task to flourish animal colonies in our care with an enriched environment. DIABAR has also been continuously striving to facilitate researchers, post-graduate scholars and multiple institutions in their research for a long time by providing lab animals. We are committed to providing open and transparent information about the all-relevant research activities, including animal breeding, scientific testing, experimentation, laboratory animal-related products and their standard animal care.
Pertaining to facilitate the research institutions, DIABAR completely support and follow the international guidelines including:
- Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Laboratory Animal Care International (AAALAC).
- Institutional Animal Care and use Committee (IACUC)
- Animal Research: Reporting of in Vivo Experiments (ARRIVE)
In fact, all the guidelines ensure that the highest animal welfare standards are maintained along with the conduct of accurate, valid scientific research through the supervision, coordination, training, guidance, and review of every project proposed to include the use of laboratory animals.
