ECT (Electroconvulsive Therapy)

Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) is a safe and effective treatment option for individuals with severe, treatment-resistant mental illnesses such as major depression, postpartum depression, bipolar disorder, suicidality or certain psychotic disorders. It involves the controlled induction of a seizure to alleviate symptoms and improve overall mental health functioning.

When Required: ECT is recommended when other treatments have been ineffective or when rapid symptom relief is necessary to manage severe psychiatric symptoms or suicidal tendencies.
