Mentorship-training sessions have been successfully conducted at Dow International Medical College (DIMC) for the clinical faculty involved in mentoring of MBBS DIMC students on the 3rd & 4th of July 2024.
The activity was organized by Prof. Mohiuddin Alamgir (Chief Mentor), Prof. Sonia Siddiqui (Deputy Chief Mentor) and Prof. Sonia Ejaz Haider (Medical Educ. dept.) under the patronage of principal DIMC Prof. Dr. Iftekhar Ahmed & Vice-principal Prof. Ramla Naz. During these sessions, Dr. Hadia Pasha, Director of Student Counselling Service & Student Affairs, AKU, shared her undergrad mentoring experiences with our attentive faculty.
Various interactive activities such as SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats) analysis have been carried out with enthusiastic participation by the faculty members.
Detailed discussions followed these activities such as; different modes of communication, smart objectives for successful mentorship and four E’s of communications in a mentoring program namely, engage, enable, empathize, and evolve.
