Insightful seminar conducted by the Department of Dermatology, Dow University of Health Sciences

Recently a seminar was conducted by the Department of Dermatology DUHS and Dr. Ruth K.M. Pfau, CHK, on the use of systemic corticosteroids in patients of Pemphigus Vulgaris complicated by sepsis on 16th May 2024.

The Seminar was divided into two sessions.

-First Session:

First was an interactive session on how to combat emerging hospital-acquired infections with opportunistic bacteria fungi and viruses with Dr. Azizullah Khan Dhiloo, Assistant Professor, Department of Infection Diseases Dr. Ruth K.M Pfau, DUHS and residents of the Dermatology Department.

-Second Session:

The second session was a debate between residents of the Dermatology Department regarding the use of systemic steroids in Pemphigus Vulgaris complicated by sepsis.

The Seminar was organized by Dr. Humaira Talat, Associate Professor, Head of the Dermatology Department and her team. It was well attended by resident medical officers and consultants of the Dermatology Department.
