One-day capacity building workshop for mothers

On 8 March 2024, on the occasion of “International Women’s Day” Department of Pediatrics Department of Pediatrics Dr Ruth K. M Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi / Dow Medical College / Dow University of Health Sciences in Collaboration with Konpal, Child Abuse Prevention Society organized a one-day capacity building workshop for mothers admitted with their unwell children.
The hands-on workshop was facilitated by Prof. Muzamil Shabana Ejaz (Professor, Dept. of Pediatrics), Dr. Hafiza Sania (Senior Registrar, Dept. of Pediatrics) and Mr. Muhammad Adil (Program Manager Konpal).
Topics discussed were: New Born Care, Nutrition, First Aid Management, Hand Washing, Conflict Management and Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect. In the end, certificates were distributed by Prof. Muzamil Shabana Ejaz HOD, Department of Pediatrics Unit I.
